I know you said not to panic and you didn't mean too much offense, but I loved Ariel and Belle. I mean, the other princesses were fine, but Ariel blew me away (with how awesome she was, not with a gun). I mean, okay, that was a bad decision to sell her voice, but it all worked out. I love Ariel and Disney in general and I believe I don't so much need a man to be happy (well, eventually, yes. Maybe my hormones are turned on low right now). But, in some cases you do have to give up everything for something you love. The Little Mermaid symbolizes this, but you should know someone better before you give up your voice. But, this is FANTASY. And, also, in the original story, she turned into sea foam, so better ending. Also, there was a knife her sisters traded their hair for. Um... Not weird at all. But, the princesses aren't worse than so many 'chick flicks'. I mean, Jasmine didn't want a prince and she knew him-ish before she fell in love.
Snow White - Okay, this was just true love. But true love is good. You need love to be happy. I do see how she could be better. TBH, Snow White is not the best princess.
Mulan - She fought in a war and CRUSHED the Huns. Not feminine, did fall in love, but so? That is part of life.
Aurora - Yeah, she is pretty wimpy. But that was because she was asleep. There was really no way she could have been strong.
Cinderella - She survived an abusive household. She's great.
Pochahauntus (misspelled so bad) - She faced prejudice, so she should be more popular.
Belle- Another of my favorites. She reads, she's kind of an outcast, but she's hot, so Gaston likes her, but she says, whatevs. She sees past appearances. She's great.
Ariel - I already ranted about her.
It is not a bad thing to have others fight your battles. Otherwise you might chip a nail.
And the princesses have been way more progressive. Frying pan weapons!
