So sad glen Campbell has Alzheimer's disease. He mass one last album"ghost on a canvas", and had 1 last tour. On one of the concerts he needed to read from something because he forgot the lyrics of the song.
reply

I watched that documentary as well, it was VERY sad, although I didn't care for him in that movie, he still was a very talented musician, hell I grew up with "Hi, I'm Glen Campbell". Galveston still has to be on my top 10 list of songs. Back on subject though it was his wish to show people the effects of Alzheimer's and it did give me some new perspectives for sure!

For sure!!! Talent that could have been dispersed over a stadium and he wouldn't have missed it. He never really got full credit. Another along that line was Roy Clark, the man could pick up any instrument and play.

If that's Ben Hur I'm seeing, then... oh gosh please no! >_< That movie is a treasure; it doesn't need a remake!
reply
4 ups
I agree. It's a classic the way it is.
reply
3 ups, 1 reply
Yep. Unfortunately.
reply
5 ups
Ben Hur is actually a remake of the original of 1925. The 2016 one is not a remake. It's based on the book like the previous movies, but the filmmakers want a new a reimagining of the novel in this one.

reply

You guys are joking, right? The original Japanese Godzilla was the best.

Also, I think the B-rated ones along the way are more entertaining than that long and pompous one they made last year that hardly even had any scenes of monsters fighting.
reply
4 ups, 1 reply
Well, I DID almost cry while watching Godzilla vs. Mothra. But mostly because I was bored to tears. Haha! Sorry, Socrates
reply
1 up
Haven't seen that one lol. But I'll take your word for it. :)
reply
2 ups, 1 reply
Maybe because of their budget...graphic is hard work....(I don't know what I'm even saying.). It was probably cause you want to see more fighting monster than drama,I love 'most' of godzilla films.
reply
1 up, 1 reply
Yeah I like Godzilla movies too mostly. Watching monsters fighting and destroying cities is just such a funny idea.
reply

Ya even there's 'some' funny scenes

Example:Godzilla jumping up and down like he won a game :3

It was a year ago? The last one I saw was made in the 90s and starred Mathew Broderick.
reply

That one (the Matthew Broderick one) wasn't actually that horrible, even though it got slammed by critics.

I was talking about the more recent one (I was wrong about "last year" - I just checked and it came out in 2014). I thought it was boring. I thought that was the one you guys were talking about.

Keep in mind that it doesn't have to have a remake for it to turn bad. The Star Wars prequels completely sucked. And now people are making theories about Jar Jar being Snoke. Look what you've done, prequels. You screwed up Star Wars. (With the characters and things like metaclorians. The storyline actually was good.)

Only something as evil as that son of a Binks could create such a weapon...
reply

That's right. The first two Home Alone movies were great. Then there was a third that didn't even have Macaulay Culkin and it bombed. Perhaps there was a contract signed to put out so many movies but then stars or writers change their minds for some reason or another.

No problem as long as they are good. Some sequels just keep getting worse and production houses don't know when to end a story

Right, another issue is when series that have gone on for a loooooong time, start to gradually become more lazily produced, because said series has a large following gained from it's long existance.
