Disney is giving our kids a bad role model

I found an article about this: apparently, Disney "needs" same-sex romance in its movies. Guys, just because gays have the RIGHT to be portrayed, doesn't mean they HAVE to be portrayed. Would it really change Elsa all that much? Tolerance is not about loving someone different. Tolerance is when you don't care that they're different. This is not "tolerance" of gays, this is giving gays special privileges, telling everyone that they're better than straight people because they're different. The biggest effect of this is that kids will not express homosexual feelings because they genuinely love the same gender, they will become homosexual because we're pushing them in their faces, and telling them that these people are the special ones. I would still appreciate Elsa if she were a lesbian. But if they expect me to appreciate her BECAUSE she is a lesbian, then they're wrong. In the end, I do not believe Disney has Elsa's character in mind. They only want to try to tell everyone the same message that people were trying to pound into my head through the whole 2010s: "being gay is a good thing [and straight people are just... normal]" I will give this my up-vote, because people need to hear about this, and prevent Disney from corrupting our youth with feelings that aren't theirs.

Don't worry, it's just a Twitter campaign. It isn't official.

It was the voice actor who started it

The voice actor doesn't have authority over what the writers decide.

Wait, did Elsa have two different actors for voice and singing? Cause I know a lot do . . .

A couple of things...

1) They haven't made her gay. It's an online petition by some from the gay and lesbian community to pressure Disney into making her lesbian.

2) Sexuality shouldn't be an issue in cartoon kid's movies.

Cartoons should not be a platform for sexual preferences and if Disney did cave in to the 0.5% of the population, then I will no longer watch Disney movies.

What is happening to our world, what in the world, I wish this was 1940, when every guy worried about the Nazis and not what bathroom or guy they will date, I am origially from Lebanon, (it's a country in The Middle East) my family is Catholic so we moved here (I was born in America, my dad lived 31 years before i was born in America so we American blood, anyways, I will move back or to Canada if this crap rises

Don't worry, there's still plenty of tragedy in the world to fuss over. I bet if you wen't back to 1940, sure people would be worried about all the stuff going on, but there'd be minor issues like these that people would obsess over too.

I wouldn't want to grow up in today's world, but then again it wasn't so good growing up with the Russian nuclear threat either, the civil rights riots of the 60s and quite a few other things of the time. My point is every generation has garbage it has to outgrow. Be aware, but don't dwell on it so much you miss enjoying being your age, I know you're a bright you man from other conversations, stay focused on where you're going my friend! By the way I did not know you parents were from Lebanon. I hope they still cook for you some of that AWESOME food! I miss the food festival they used to have every year back in Richmond. They don't have them here in Arizona that I know of.

Oh, i hope I see you in the near 10 years, I will bring you a whole truck load of food just for you ;) Just two days ago, I brought two teachers (my math and my science) a plate of hummus for both of them, and the science because she is special, a plate of tabule, I wanted to say thank you to both of them because I went to the private school, and at first I struggled because I was so new, I had a 76 over all in science and 80 something in math, next quarter I got A's in both those classes, the teachers even told me they will not give up on me, anyways, I have been talking to the math teachers and unlike everyone else, I will be taking a Algebra 2 class over the summer, so this way I will be in pre calculus next year, my exams are next week and I am so thank ful that you are here to talk wisdom into my young mind, like you said, yes I understand that the riots, near WWIII with nuclear warheads, etc, that would be horrible, at least the people like you back then are strong minded, unlike today but thank you for everything sir :)

Those were not my fights then, I was a little young then. I had to take it on faith that the people of the time would do the right thing in the end. It does always work out In the end, sometimes like we want and sometimes we have to marine up (adapt, overcome, improvise).

Did you know that Hollywood is representing homosexuality in nearly 40% of their movies for only 3-5% of the population? So in rhetrospect they're over representing homosexuals. So there is no controversy.

Well, in a regular person's life, there is almost always a gay person, so even though it is homosexual propaganda, it kinda works out, despite its purpose.

Wait, what? Is this since Frozen came out . . .. Because it was about sister power! Like, true sibling love. Love can be romantic or sibling ish and siblingesque is what Disney went with.

From what I've heard, people have been petitioning Disney to make Elsa a lesbian. I don't know if they've gone through with it, but I seriously hope Disney realizes what a bad idea this would be. Not only would she be a bad role model for kids, but (I would hope) many parents would refuse to let their children watch it.

How would it make her a "bad role model" exactly? The problem would most likely be kids being confused about their sexuality. If they still make Elsa a good person, then she would be a good person. If they have to cave in, they could make it a minor part and it wouldn't be as much a problem. But if they even put two female dung beetles in it making sexual references that go over kids' heads, people will boycott it.

What I think MKnight means by "bad role model" is that young children shouldn't have a lesbain role model because then the amount of fake gays will increase enormously. The younglings will see her and go "Wow! I want to be like that!" so then they'll force it and more and more people will "come out" just for attention.

Yeah, that's my concern, but on the Internet you never know...

Well, it probably isn't gonna be a significant part of her. Also, it just may teach kids to expect someone in their lives to be gay rather than be gay themselves.
