I still like the "Purple Rain" album and movie...what kid didn't want to see Apallonia's tits back then? But I never saw "Under The Cherry Moon" and I wasn't really into his music after that...I think the last songs that I remember hearing by him were "Pop Life" and "Sign O The Times"...but I never lost respect for him as an artist...except maybe when he started going by the "symbol". LOL

I strongly recommend it bro, it is one of the funniest movies ever made. Not to mention how many memes have been made from it. I was on a date one time and she told me she didn't think it was funny. I knew right away she was not the one for me lol!

Yup I have two dvd's, one is regular and then I bought it again when they came out with a collectors edition directors cut lol. I think no matter what job you have or have had you can relate to it. I'm surprised they haven't tried to ruin I mean remake it ;)

Oh you cant. Started as an SNL gag, prolly one of their more succesful incarnations, but a redo........NO. Hollywood has a way of destryoing good work. Ie; footloose, red dawn,. Apparently they're re doing 3s company. Imagine Deer Hunter or Appocolypse Now redone? Oh yeah Blade Runner they're redoing......not right.

I agree, it's extremely rare that a remake is worth a damn. I did like Total Recall but only because the new version followed the book more closely. But overall I wish they would leave them alone. Red Dawn really sucked! Deer Hunter is a badass movie I have to watch it again now that you mentioned it lol.

I actually just watched that on youtube the other day. The stunts were cool but just like a lot of movies they make these days. They rely too much on special defects and leave out stuff like oh I don't know building the story and making the characters people you actually care what happens to them. Glad you rent maybe all my stock in blockbuster will be worth something hahaha!

Nah man blockbusters dead. Sad. I went to see furious 7 in theatre....F**k me, car jump building to building, c'mon, Toyota or Honda maybe. But you dont go to those for story. I was just chattin with socrates about bond films, and how I felt they went the same way with conveluted stories and super dynamic effects, not everything has to be an explosion, ya know. Oh yeah , Blade Runner they're redoing. Already it sucks. Why f**k with our generations awesomness?

I think they believe that if shit isn't blowing up every 30 secs then they won't be able to get this younger generation to look up from their phones at all during the movie lol!
