Needle Exchange Program?

ME TOO!! It breaks my heart, I live in a tiny little town and Heroin has taken over. We are losing young people nearly every week to overdose.

In my Sophmore year I met a 17yr old recovering addict. She shared this with me, it was on a laminated card In her purse. Between her story and the poem I linked to, it was the one thing that probably kept me from ever trying it, because I for sure tried everything else In the day. http://wowzone.com/heroin.htm

That's a very moving poem! I was also blessed to escape that lifestyle before I tried heroin. I teach Celebrate Recovery a Biblical based 12 step class, I will share this! This is another pic I use.

Im glad it featured! I was not aware you did such awesome work! Im often amazed at the caliber of people I know on this site,... but dont know in person. Ive spent most of my adult life in military, law enforcement,.. and teaching combative skills. And you teach healing,... probably the most awesome thing i can think of. You are a gem of a person!

My hat is off to you sir! You have served our country in more ways than one! A omg talk with a police officer when I was about 2 1/2 months pregnant Saved my life! I battled addiction in my early 20's if not for getting pregnant with my 15 year old I'm sure I would be 6 ft under. Thankfully God had different plans for me! I hve been teaching for 3 years & am well into my 2nd year of college to be a Substance Abuse Counselor. It's crazy how one moment can change your whole life, and my moment just happened to be in the back seat of a police cruiser with an officer driving who saw something in my eyes other than an addict 15 years later here I sit at 4am meming away but SOBER!
