The government is truly corrupt; I know a quadriplegic man here illegally who can't leave because he's completely paralyzed. I think BOTH parties failed the vets... not just the GOP. The problem I see,... is many bills like this get derailed because they don't vote on an issue,... they tack all kinds of other shit on bills,.. that parties don't agree on,... so things like this don't get approved because of some tacked on crap. Both parties are notorious for this.

The difference is the Republicans do it because "the bill is too expensive", whereas the Democrats usually say it is not spending enough to help vets.

My son did four years in the Air Force and during that time got assigned as part of the honor gaurds at a funeral

For a guy he didn't even know. He told us that nothing cuts you more than a child's voice where the family members are seated asking, Where's Daddy?

Nothing puts a lump in my throat like a military funeral. From one vet to another.. thank your son for his service!
