Because they're acting. And I think in Hollywood, the percentage of homosexuals is more like 40% I think it's almost a requirement to be gay or bisexual in Hollywood.

Because statistically speaking, any show with at least 25 cast members will have one gay and be representative of the actual population.

Most shows have about 5 main characters. I'm just a little tired of having my kids constantly see things that my wife and I believe is wrong. Sick of the single digit minority over-running everything.

Wow. That's original. It's the general concept. I'm sure you think ABC Family is totally appropriate for kids, too, right?

The channel that wants to confuse already confused teens even further. Their self appointed to role to make families as they think they should be.

I don't care that its a channel, I do care how they label it. At least LOGO was truthful about the audience it wanted and the issues it was concerned with.

ABC Family is "Freeform" now.
Better? I just block it under whatever name it is.
1 up, 9y
I do think it's better. I hate to say I was fooled by the name of the channel when it mattered. I spend the extra every month to have a DVR system that allows channel profiles for different rooms and utilized it. Abc family would have been blocked in my daughter's room, but probably open in the living room where my daughter and I could have watched together and discussed the programs. I don't care that the channel exists, it was only that they hid the social agenda they wanted to push.

Funny thing is: you can believe things are wrong and still they will exist.
You can hide that things to your kids but one day they will find out.
Funniest thing: sometimes our sons choose to do and believe in things that we think are wrong.

Children certainly are their own people. However, what we as parents bring into their lives should reflect our own values. Our job as parent is to keep as much ugly away from our own lives and the lives of our children as possible. What cannot be avoided should be framed in the proper light.
Just because things exist in the world does not mean a parent should invite it into the home. "Here, little Johnny. You have no life experience. Here is a heaping helping of perverted 'reality' ... let's enjoy what we can of it and just laugh and laugh. If it ever gets to be too much, we'll turn it off." lol

Their own people, their own values. Sad but true, no clones here.
I make my point, I set the rules, but when
they're gone away from home... My job is done, all I can do is provide support in case of emergency.

That's a fact. We all do our best and that is truly all we can do.
