Long memes on the front page must have the luck of the Irish to get there

The first couple times you see them they are funny, until you have to scroll past them over and over again. I've made a few long ones myself, I try to limit it to 3 panels anymore.

I think a few here and there is fun especially since generally speaking those who make them put it an a lot of time and effort on them. But often enough the reward isn't worth the investment.

Oh I've made my share I am more than guilty of that, but I've learned if I have that many images to just make a gif. A lot of them are really funny at first, but after a while scrolling past them makes them not funny for me anymore. I'm not saying what anybody else should do it's just how I feel about it personally. I think a lot of people won't upvote them just because now and they are a lot of work.

That scroll wheel is all the exercise a lot of people get :)

The other thing you could do, if you had a really long meme, is put the beginning of it in meme form, and then write "Continued in the comments..." and put the rest of it as a comment on your own meme (that way people could choose whether it's worth the time or not). :)
