Meme comedy is always the best path about politics, but what's funny-sad is the one with the least truth (the "pet goat" one with W) will probably get the most upvotes, while this one, the truest (there was no love lost between Nancy Reagan and Bush family) will get squat.

Agreed, in the meme world and comedy its about parody, much in the way that G.H.W. Bush never said "wouldn't be prudent." but Carvey did such a great parody that it became associated with him forever. There is generally more sadness than humor in truth, which I believe is why parody exists.
