this is never OK

BEAUTIFUL MEME! In October of 2014 my best friend from high school was brutally beaten in front of her 8 year old son. Both of her femurs were destroyed, her ribs were crushed and one whole side of her head was caved completely in. After he had beaten her into unconsciousness he drove her into the woods then disposed of he body in a sinkhole behind their home after blowing her leg almost completely off from the knee down. She dealt with the abuse for years unseen and unheard. A few neighbors and some of his family admitted later to knowing about the abuse. Sadly if even one person had extended a hand to help she may still be alive. Breaks my heart :-( Always be that someone that cares! If you know someone is in danger speak even if the friendship is ruined because of it at least you tried.

Tha.t's a great comment lady! Thank you for sharing, I have seen some abusive scenarios in my life, especially when working as a cop. It seems we would get calls to the same places so frequently and yet it never really changed. Abuse goes on at so many different levels there is no way to address it in one meme But it's good to see comments like yours where we can see that by reaching out to someone we can make a difference before a tragedy sometimes. They gave him 25 years! I was like seriously??? 25 years? There are people serving longer sentences for dealing dope than that SMH

He gets his life back after 25 yrs... and no one else does. That's crap!! Especially the way she was killed.. tortured really. Must have been a plea deal.. that's not justice for the family who will always be w/o a mom.. a daughter. . Sister.. friend.

What happened to her son?

She has two sons they both live with grandparents now.

I agree it can go both ways. Never an excuse for family violence.... no matter who is giving or rec'g. . IMHO. =)

What I think happens is the custom stuff goes to manual approval, which generally goes quite a bit longer.

I found a work-around for the custom stuff....make the template public first; then go back and make your meme from imgflip's library

Abuse of women seems to be "cultural"... accepted by some. Sharia law condones it.. rap music does too.

Agreed,... very few I hope! But really,... in cultures where there was no bible,... and all through history to the present,... women have been treated like cattle in a lots of cultures. Given away in marriage w/o their consent etc. Marital rape is not nearly as prevalent in the west,... as it is in other regions of the world. Abuse is never OK,... I don't like to hear about women or children being physically abused,.. it grinds my gears! =) Never an excuse for that in my book.

Oh yeah.. everyone treated women like that in that time of history.. in every culture and region of the planet.

My wife and I have been married for 34 years and out of love and mutual respect I have never considered raising a hand to her. That doesn't mean that we never fight(oh we can do that). When we were newly married, maybe a few months we had a fight. She went to bed mad. Soon after I went to bed. Started taking off my pants so I could put my pajamas on. When she saw me pull my belt off she put put up her arms to block me from hitting her. It was kind of amusing, surprisingly and sad all at the same time. We spent the rest of the night cuddling after I told her that I would never do anything like that

Sad to think that some women have to be in abusive relationships to have a better life for themselves, like living with a rich man to have more money.

Some may tolerate abuse in exchange for wealth...

Father of two daughters, thank God that they can take care of themselves! And if the SOB that would lay a hand on them survived, they would have to deal with me!

I have one daughter,... I feel ya! I never liked seeing anyone weaker being abused,.. kids, elderly,.. handicapped, disabled,.. etc.
Trolls,.... dv them into oblivion. ;)
