Most of the difficulty from that area comes from pontiff, hardest base game boss imo. I still love the area though

I'd say it's from the dogs, the f**k ass Irithyll knights, the giant alligator dog thingies, and the dogs. Pontiff is easy is you git gud at parrying.

He is definitely easy with parrying but all the other base game ds3 bosses are very easy, except soul of cinder. All the ds3 difficulty comes from the dlc
