Driving is a privilege.
1. Use the turn signal before you slow down to turn.
2. If cars are passing you on the right side, you are in the wrong lane, driving too slowly.
3. Turn the phone off while you’re driving, so you can start up when the light turns green, not two minutes later.
4. Putting the turn signal on does not automatically give you the right of way. You still must yield appropriately.
5. Expecting other traffic to be inconvenienced because you missed a turn or were in the wrong lane is inappropriate. Go around the block or whatever it takes to get to where you’re going.
It’s your mistake-own it.
6. Centering the car between the lines in a parking lot and parallel parking on a street are a basic part of driving. If you haven’t mastered basic low speed maneuvering, why are you even on the road?
