When you constantly see these trans people on TV, online and frequent posts, involving them throughout your day, but you have literally never truly interacted with one on a real personal level...what does that tell you about your media?

When I heard about all this extra genders thing for the first time, it was on a forum almost a decade ago, somebody posted it, having seen it on Tumblr. My reaction then was that it was a put on, a hoax to lure those who might be more given to want to believe something like that. Intended to fool them as a prank, or even as a way of causing antagonism when they start defending it. That's what I felt then, and that's what I feel now. The antagonism causing bit.
