The switch 1 was very cheaply made. Not a bad console by any means, I love so many games on there, but it was a few generations behind even when it came out

Both Switch 1 and Switch 2 are 8 years apart of release dates, so that's fair.

And apparently they didn't fix joycon drift, which is crazy since they had 8 years to work on it. There's also the instruction manual that costs money for some reason. Fortunately, they will repair joycons with drift, because they were forced to after they were sued for making a controller that's almost designed to fail.

It’s even more insane that they didn’t fix drift when you realize a permanent solution to drift was literally discovered years ago. There’s Hall effect joy cons that are magnetic and can’t be effected by dust/grime. Luckily there’s 3rd party companies that make those with switch pro controllers at least

Fortunately, Nintendo managed to make sure that third party controllers don't work with switch 2, so you have to buy their $100 pieces of garbage that are decades behind the rest of the market. Wouldn't want anything threatening the bottom line, Nintendo might even make slightly less money than they want to. Still, if a workaround is found to let third party controllers work, they can always just lay off employees en masse to make up for it

think again. you can use your games from the switch 1 on the switch 2, except there are a couple of exceptions like the labo VR kit.
