Well, the far left ideology is opposed to facts that "stigmatize" a protected group of theirs, and Tyson pretty much describes the moral reasoning. But sometimes they are fooled - example:
One study: Transgenderism is mostly attractive to people on the Autism spectrum
Second study: Those transgenders who feel seriously suicidal about their body have often been molested.
Third: Pedophilia is extremely common amongst institutionalized Autists (infantile Autists) as they don't understand what they're doing, but have the sexuality of an adult.
Fourth: Pedophiles have almost all been sexually molested themselves
Result: Doesn't look good for transgender people.
These are all clinical info (except from number 2 that is more testimonial) I've run into throughout maaany years. But suddenly you put them together, and it's stigma-fest
