Most Iranians in America came right after the 1979 revolution, escaping the Khomeini regime.
They tend to be on the monied side (thus more able to get out and get here as well as having more reason to) and secular, so aside from running here for their lives, even less prone to dedicating themselves to anything other than getting a PhD, making money, and living in some ritzy locale.
Even other Muslims in the US without that political and economic background don't devote themselves to such nonsense. And the notion that such would go on unnoticed by anyone other than some Far Right 'news'/fanfic blog really stretches any notions of credibility,,,
