Basically, the bed cover on the bottom right bed rolls down really quickly, which means one of the amalgamates is creepily moving fast. Probably spoon-head guy.

No, the key is for Mettaton's house in Waterfall. You can only go into true lab in the true pacifist route. Here's how you do it:
1. Don't kill anyone
2. Go on the dates with Papyrus and Undyne
3. Complete the neutral ending
4. Reload your save file to just before the fight with Asgore.
5. Walk down to MTT resort, and Undyne will call you. Follow her instructions.
7. (Not going to spoil it for you, but something happens with Alphys)
8. After the thing with Alphys, go to the regular lab, and the door will unlock for you.

It's because when you uncover the bed previously, each time you reenter the room, it checks if you already uncovered the bed, and then is uncovers it
