That might be true, on the the hand though lots of people just use imgflip at school so

Imgflip is not as active during the weekend, this is why images tend to not do well. 

Same thing goes for the summer, except imgflip literally dies and the top 7 days leaderboard goes from 1.4 mil at the top to 500k max during a full week.
