I don't know anything about Star Wars, so I'm not sure what that means.  I thought Storm Troopers were supposed to be feared; like, they are bada$$ dudes, no?

That's more the death troopers and Knights of Ren. The stormtroopers are often well known for their terrible aim. Even if they could throw straight, it wouldn't be a very good shot.
