impeachment

Yeah, it went exactly the way I thought it'd go. Anyone (from either side) who didn't think it was going to go this way was either being hopelessly naive or had had way too much of their party's kool-aid to make a rational assessment.

I had a bunch of Dems friends posting shit on facebook when the political party started the impeachments because they all where filled with hope that the president was gonna be taken out, and I was like, yeah that is not gonna happen. I really meant to tell them that, but meh, not worth my time arguing with them. That is not what Facebook is for, I come here for that.

Yeah, I had several friends who got all hopeful. Naive to think Rs would actually listen to evidence during the process.

I also have friends who got all excited that Ds would put the nail in Trump’s coffin. Naive to think that Ds would actually frame their case in a way that actually encourages the other side to pay attention.

It’s all political pageantry. We’ll see how much it affects 2020.
