Jumping into the car like that is idiotic. An armed criminal might panic and kill him in the process. A suicide bomber could've potentially wiped most of them out. The only situation where that jump kick would be useful would be against a speeding car, in which it would fail 99% of the time and possibly injure or kill the "ninja". And against speeding cars, you won't need 7-8 heavily armed soldiers. You just need road spikes.
