I was watching the video a bit closer... the kid’s eyelid must have been turned inside out, or something. Look at his eye that’s closest to the spray. It looks “different” after the water stops. Or maybe, DON’T look, I don’t want to creep you out, lol :-)

You might be right. But I think the shadowing of the eye when he turns his head may be a contributing factor. The expression on his face is much different as well. So I'm sure all the observations are contributing factors. :)
