My 60' oak tree got hit just over a year ago. Scared the sh!t out of me. That tree was only 25' away from my house. And it fried my washer, tv, coffee maker, and PS4. At least we took the wood to a lumber mill. Just sucks, I was a beautiful tree.

It's great you took it to the mill, Oak is Beautiful wood! I've seen lightning completely strip all the bark from a tree! Powerful stuff :)

Thanks, we go 2 foot wide by 2 inches thick and about 12 foot long slabs with a live edge. The mill could only do 2 foot wide, otherwise it would have been about 3 foot in center pieces. Luckily the mill was only 10 miles away.
