i see the point that you are making. we don't want to be falling into lies ourselves. so we need to be constantly on guard and follow our inner core, whatever it is. just as well, we should not be spreading lies to other susceptible people in the world.
you're right, lying is something to be loathed. although, i do believe it really is almost impossible to know what is fact or not. yes, the clouds are 98% water and the fishes live in the ocean, but there are other things we just can't prove. There are many theories as to why things happen, though. and it is totally okay to believe in theories as long as you keep your mind open to new discoveries.
