what only helps some, the corporate welfare? if a company can't afford to pay their workers a living wage, that company cannot afford to be in business. if a worker is putting in full time, or several part time jobs and still cannot survive without government assistance, the society is broken. along with raising the minimum wage an employer can get away with paying a worker, there need to be protection for workers against greed based firing. the things capitalists get away with on this continent are deplorable
guess the difference is, kropotkin's beard is not a fool, so can see that $15/hr now would allow people working almost just full time (no benefits for you!) to survive without having the government subsidize the corporation paying less than a living wage by providing food and housing assistance to their impoverished workers. and the u.s. code says..... http://uscode.house.gov/view.xhtml?path=/prelim@title3/chapter2&edition=prelim doesn't matter if the man has accumulated a fortune thru grifting over the years and doesn't need the paltry half million. not one bit.
