I'm not against a raise in the minimum wage, since the cost of living has gone up way too much, way too fast, but any fool can see $15/hr is too much too soon.

Also, Trump only makes $1 a year as president.

guess the difference is, kropotkin's beard is not a fool, so can see that $15/hr now would allow people working almost just full time (no benefits for you!) to survive without having the government subsidize the corporation paying less than a living wage by providing food and housing assistance to their impoverished workers. and the u.s. code says..... http://uscode.house.gov/view.xhtml?path=/prelim@title3/chapter2&edition=prelim doesn't matter if the man has accumulated a fortune thru grifting over the years and doesn't need the paltry half million. not one bit.

and trump makes 400,000$ salary, + about an additional 150,000 in extra grift

Trump makes $1 a year salary, the rest he donates. He was going to completely decline the salary, but liberals got all whiny about how unconstitutional he was being for not taking any money. (weird, huh?)

Except it only helps SOME of them. Wendy's alone replaced workers in 1000 of their locations in the US. I don't even know how many McDonald's workers are likewise out of a job now.

The min wage was raised to $15 here in Canada recently, and a lot of places have switched to automated kiosks. And many smaller, "local" businesses had to resort to shortening their daily business hours by one or two hours a day, on top of letting people go.

what only helps some, the corporate welfare? if a company can't afford to pay their workers a living wage, that company cannot afford to be in business. if a worker is putting in full time, or several part time jobs and still cannot survive without government assistance, the society is broken. along with raising the minimum wage an employer can get away with paying a worker, there need to be protection for workers against greed based firing. the things capitalists get away with on this continent are deplorable

No, I meant raising the minimum wage only helps some, since others wind up losing their jobs, being replaced by automated kiosks.

Saying "there needs to be protections for workers against greed based firing" is utterly ridiculous, and dangerously oppressive. Private sector businesses are in the business of making profit, that's their business. If they're not making a profit, nobody's going to have a job anyways. And literally anyone can be accused of greed based firing, that's the danger of a pure socialist ideology.

But I wouldn't expect an obvious anti-capitalist to understand that. I bet you think "equality of outcome" is somehow a good thing, don't you?
