At this very moment, a rift appeared in front of the four of them.
The air cracked. Light bent unnaturally. The world around them seemed to stretch, then shatter. Before any of them could scream, run, or think, they were ripped from their realities and hurled through something that felt like time itself.
The four of them reappeared in a white room, and it almost appeared to be glowing. The framed convict and the failure looked around frantically, while the "self aware" robot and the lonely woman stood frozen.
A voice suddenly spoke out to them with a boom, which caused all four of them to flinch.
"Do not be alarmed, for you are chosen" The four of them looked for the owner of this voice, but no one was around besides them and the painfully bright walls.
"The existence of everything you know is in trouble, and I called upon you for aid."
The failure asked frantically, "Where are we?"
"This is the Hub, a place where all realities connect. I am the one who guards reality, the one who keeps it from collapsing," the voice responded.
