It's called "abortion" because it ABORTS a PREGNANCY.
That's not what happened in Bethlehem. No pregnancies were aborted.
And please STICK TO THE POINT:
People fleeing over a border to escape WHATEVER danger is threatening them (actual abortion or whatever) should be treated humanely.
THAT'S the point---not whether slaughtering toddlers is abortion.
They were NOT kicked out of Egypt---the place they fled to as refugees.
They lived in Egypt until the tyrannical King Herod died, then left of their own accord.
And just because the flight into Egypt happened months or years later doesn't change what happened. They were refugees.
Claiming that they weren't refugees when they went from Nazareth to Bethlehem, so they were never refugees, is like claiming that Napoloen wasn't a military leader when he was 10 years old, so he was never a military leader.
Ever heard of the Flight into Egypt?
THAT's when they were refugees crossing a border without documentation.
Mary, Joseph, and Baby Jesus had to flee in the night over the border into Egypt, where they lived as aliens for some years before deciding to return to Israel after the tyrant King Herod died.
