Illumination always has the urge to play it safe, and as a result, their movies have 0 character development, jokes that fall flat, and overall, an unamusing plot
Yeah, Disney does tend to milk their classics (*cough* Toy Story), but unlike Illumination, at least Disney isn't afraid to experiment with things. With Illumination, they just copy and paste the same formula in their movies and think no one will spot it
I made this since I watched Despicable Me 4 last night...it killed the majority of my support for this studio, except for their Nintendo Movies, but even they suffer from their film-making strategy
