Bumblebee has been confirmed to be a part of it's own continuity and is completely unrelated to the previous Micheal Bay films which is why it ignores most of that universes continuity. The comic that came with special editions of the film that ties it to the micheal bay films was written during earlier drafts of the script and is non canon.
