It is true that bad people can be in positions of power, but sometimes you can avoid these people, not always, but sometimes. When I said that some transgender people don't like hearing about it, I did not intend to suggest all. I agree that children and minors should be especially careful with these things, as you mentioned, the John Mooney case. Apologies about any atheists/agonistics hating on your religion, as they usually are just insecure or have some sort of weird connection to it. I understand that you are supposed to warn people about going to hell and all of those things, but some people get upset by this. I feel like I am one of these people to be quite honest, but this is likely because its not very fun being told you're going to be literally tortured for all of eternity for something you can't control. I usually associate people that warn me about going to hell with the Christians that make your entire life about one thing, because that's all I really ever experienced.Gender affirming surgery can be dangerous, but so is every other surgery. There isn't very many surgical procedures that can be done without physical risk or potential pain. However, to many, its completely worth it and they'd rather do that then have to live with what they have. It probably sounds ridiculous if you haven't lived through it, so I understand how it doesn't make sense. Many of the people that get gender affirming surgeries and regret them end up identifying as something else, which is why personally, I think you should be completely sure you won't regret your choice.

As a trans person, *some* of us don't like hearing about the side affects of the surgeries we're looking into because we are fully aware of them and are okay with the risks. Acceptance doesn't mean shut up, unless by your version of acceptance you mean to shout opinions about other people's choices. Nobody said it was okay to degrade your religion, as it is your personal choice. When queer people say they want to be accepted, they mean they don't want to be told they're going to hell for something they can't control. They mean they don't want to be physically endangered by being who they are. Also, nobody should be telling anyone to f or unalive themselves, and we probably shouldn't categorize people by the worst ones of the group. Sorry for replying to a rant with a rant, but really, try thinking before telling a gay or trans person those things, because they probably already have been told these things.
