On one hand, it's important to acknowledge history, and it seems biased if we look at it as the Confederates as "bad guys" that should be shunned, but on the other hand, the Union won which means that they had the right to portray themselves as the good guys. All I know is, if it seems to be promoting him, then yes take it down, but if it is just acknowledging that he existed, that should be fine. Same thing with Hitler IMO. There shouldn't be any neonazi statues, but statues showing it how he looked like should be ok. Also, did everyone forget that Robert E Lee was super anti slavery, and only went to the Confederacy because Virginia joined them? Anyways, violence is not the answer, no matter what.
