Well, not exactly. Your actions might come from a genuine place, but that doesn’t mean they’re not fataphobic. The way I see it, fatphobia is when any kind of bias that influences their view on someone just because of their weight. The reason people ask for extra seats is because there aren’t different-sized seats for people, and when there are they’re usually five times as expensive. They don’t ask for extra seats because they’re just trying to get extra room, it’s because if they don’t, they’ll have to deal with constant pain the entire flight.
Something that ISN’T fatphobic is offering to help someone because they’ve actually mentioned that they’re worried about their health. What IS, though, is SECRETLY trying to help them by doing things like cutting down their portion sizes or telling them to exercise way more than a normal human should - two very real things some people do. While being fatphobic doesn’t necessarily make you a bad person, if someone tells you that you’re being fatphobic you should probably do some more research on it.
Tl;dr- Fat people aren’t trying to bend everyone else to their will, they just want OPTIONS. And fatphobia is expecting THEM to change - or rather the only option they have is to be skinnier, which just isn’t possible for some people - rather than society becoming more accommodating.
