Of course Trump shares some of the blame for the spread of the virus! After all, he frittered away the nearly two month heads up we had while it was unfolding in China and cases had started to turn up here by tweeting and running his mouth that it was akin to the common flu and was all nothing more than the "media" and "Democrats" trying to scare everyone! As recently as this month went on national TV telling everyone "we only have 15 cases and pretty soon those will be zero". Do you think there were people who heard that and then thought they needed to change their behavior to mitigate spread? Of course there were!
As for your spurious claim that "the President isn't responsible for the lack of preparation for viral epidemics", you are DEAD WRONG. The guy running the CDC is a Trump appointee. Not to mention that Trump shut down the entire global-health-security unit of the National Security Council two years ago. No pandemic that year or the year before, so we clearly don't need that!

Wrong. You are incorrect. I don't "worship" the office of the president, nor do I consider it sacrosanct. What I do know - and you should fully consider - is that one's job performance as president has a profound impact on people's lives, and even whether some people live or die. It is a job that comes with awesome responsibility and should be held only by our best, brightest and most capable. The office is currently held by a dim bullshit artist who arguably suffers from some degree of cognitive decline. And because a real crises has presented itself on his watch, untold thousands of people will die as a direct result of his inability to do the job that the Electors of the Electoral College hired him to do.
