As someone who loves both franchises, Cell didn't really have a chance here.
Sonic in base form has been multi-solar system level since the early 2000s, and Neo Metal has been boxing MUCH STRONGER versions of Sonic since then. Plus, Neo Metal Sonic specifically can copy the abilities of characters just by watching them in action.
