Well, here’s some: how about God's track record with His predictions (prophecies)? I want to give you a couple examples but just know that, so far, God has fulfilled over 2000 predictions He made that we can read about in the Bible. And God's predictions aren’t vague like those of psychics. Yet, even with very specific prophecies, God has been 100% correct and His remaining 500 predictions are all lining up right now in these last days. In Daniel 2, God predicted the rise of nations, telling us these four future empires in historical order: Babylon, Medo-Persian, Greece, and then Rome. God also predicted the fall of nations. In the Bible's book of Nahum, God predicted Nineveh would be permanently destroyed by fire, easily captured, their army officers would desert, and those officers would even be drunk in their final hours. As specific as God was, of course it happened just that way. Archaeologists have not only discovered Nineveh, but also uncovered a layer of ash in its ruins, showing it was destroyed by fire. Also, ancient Babylonian records reveal how Nineveh was easily overtaken and that their officers fled the scene. Another Greek historian records how the king gave much wine to his soldiers that night, causing them to be drunk. [2 of 3] Here’s another very specific fulfilled prophecy from God: The book of Isaiah talks about how Babylon would be overthrown at the hands of Medes, with the gates opened by a guy named Cyrus and in the end, the area would be reduced to swampland. Guess what happened. History shows it was exactly that; the Medes joined up with the Persians to conquered Babylon, despite Babylon's incredible defenses, which included Babylon's outer wall being so huge (tall and wide), they would have chariot races on it. No one should have been able to get through to Babylon. So religions like Hinduism take advantage of that mindset by having their followers perform rituals to supposedly appease the 300 million Hindu gods (demons). Man’s need for religiosity allows religions to control people, just as Hindu priests did in early Hinduism, growing in power by holding follower's escape from “Karma" over their heads. Karma is the endless loop of us supposedly living one life after another (their false teaching of reincarnation). And that same works-based dynamic is taught across the planet through world religions and cults. Outside Bible Christianity, the other faiths hold the afterlife over devotees' heads to push them toward the organization's goals. Around 600 B.C. the Hindu people revolted against the priests’ control, changing Hinduism to a more individual-focused faith with personal meditation, pursuing an altered state of consciousness to connect with the Hindu gods (demons), as a means to supposedly escape reincarnation. Some still want a guru to tell them how to be most religious. Meditation was NOT invented as a way to reduce stress. [2 OF 3] Contrary the Hindu works-based beliefs we saw in part one, Christians have the truth that there is only one Mediator between man and God, which is Jesus Christ. We can go straight Him without rituals because all the work has already been done FOR us by Christ. In Hebrews, John says Christians have the freedom to go with boldness directly to God, always
finding Grace and help from Him in our time of need. Isn't that mind blowing!? To me those words feel like they are coming off the pages. John is amazed at the thought that we Christians are actually CHILDREN of GOD. Can you believe that—after all the bad things we've done?! Romans 5 talks about how, as ungodly sinners (before getting saved), we hated God. And God certainly didn't need us. But He still chose to die for us so that we can become what we are today: His actual children, Christians. And it's all free. There's no priest to go through and no techniques to perform because it's all been taken care of. Even with the huge differences we saw in Christianity verses Hinduism (just like all the other works-based faiths), we often hear this sort of unresearched statement: “All religions mostly teach the same stuff." No! That's a lie! Christianity is absolutely unique and is the only way. But still to this day, in his depravity, Satan has invented; a myriad of false paths to confuse people away from Jesus. And the devil does so out of pure evil, wanting all he can dupe to join him in the Lake of Fire. Satan knows he's lost. He's was a loser when Jesus beat him on the cross. But Satan has teamed up with humans (who seek power and money), to deceive people all the way into an eternity in hell. The alternative is to accept the free gift of salvation given to us by Jesus' work on the cross.
