MEGA-CHURCHES AND THE CHURCH GROWTH MOVEMENT
The mindset of pastors was transformed from seminaries on down through Bible colleges, denominations, and then to organizations.
The whole definition of success with the Church Growth Movement has nothing to do with spiritual growth because that only comes from preaching the whole Word of God.
The last thing Jesus said was not, “Add a bunch of believers so you can crank the numbers for a big sanctuary?” Instead, He said to go into the world and make “discipled leaners” (in the Greek) of God’s Word. So the #1 focus is supposed to be on the spiritual growth of Christians, which is preaching the entire Word of God. That will make tons of evangelizers. Instead, the Church Growth Movement’s mantra for 25 years has been, “It’s all about numbers.” Frankly, I think it’s aiding in apostate behavior. They pursue successful growth at the cost of avoiding Bible prophecy, the wrath of God, backsliding, and Hell? Those are all in the Bible. Pursuing the numbers is preaching fluff and avoiding discipleship, which is God’s truth.
Bible prophecy warns us that this will happen. Paul said this in Timothy: The Church in the last days will gather teachers around themselves, who will "tickle their ears” so that the Church turns away from truth and aside to “myths." In the Greek those mean "pleasant things" and "stories made up."
That’s the the Church Growth Movement model. And maybe it’s because they’re not equipped, but we can't leave it there. We should respectfully request that our shepherds teach all of the Bible. If your pastor refuses to teach the whole counsel of God, you need to fire him and get a shepherd who truly loves you. A shepherd is supposed to feed the flock all of God’s Word. “It takes a whole Bible to make a whole Christian (Magee)" | image tagged in megachurch, god, jesus, bible, pray, christian | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

HEALTH & WEALTH PREACHING
The Church of God, for one, claims Christ's atonement provides physical healing for everyone. Who does that sound like? It’s a root of the Charismatic Movement that eventually came to be the Word of Faith Movement. According to the latter, if we just have enough faith, we’ll have perfect health and receive wealth.
Unfortunately though, the people getting rich in that movement are the ones requesting donations that supposedly show the followers’ level of faith. They say the greater the check, the more the follower’s faith. And those requesting the cash don’t normally seem to have the perfect health they promise to donors.
While the perfect health and wealth preaching is untrue, it is true that God can heal. I’ve seen it and even experienced it personally. But that does not mean God always heals us. We see that in the Scriptures: The Apostle Paul experienced serious illness. Did he not have enough faith? He must not have "sown seeds" into a health
and wealth preacher's ministry, right? Is that why Paul was not in perfect health? No!Also, Philippians two says Paul's co-worker for Christ, Epaphroditus, nearly worked himself to death. And Timothy, Paul's spiritual son, was often sick. Did Paul recommend more faith for those two so they could to be as healthy as they’d like? No. In fact, for Timothy’s medicinal issue, Paul recommended certain liquids, which might help as opposed to water only. Good thing Timothy had the right teacher. It’s the same one we can access every day in the Bible--no donations required. | image tagged in church, bible, god, health, wealth, jesus | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

DID JESUS TAKE ON A SINFUL NATURE?
Seventh Day Adventists’ say Ellen G White was a prophet from God. She claimed, "Christ took, upon His sinless nature, our sinful nature."
But if Jesus had a sinful nature, He would have sinned and no longer be an acceptable perfect sacrifice on the cross to save us from our sins. His body would still be in the grave because a person with a sin nature can't resurrect. Even as Christians, when we die, our earthly body does not come back to life in a few days and walk around, as Jesus did? When we Christians leaves our bodies we are instantly with the Lord because our sins are forgiven. However, if a person hasn't accepted Christ's perfect sinless sacrifice, in the blink of an eye they'll instantly be in hell. But death could not hold Jesus because He was sinless in His life on earth. Jesus died in our place and we only need to accept that gift. But Seventh Day Adventists claim He took on a sinful nature, which destroys everything Christians believe. We'd still be doomed. And yet they want us to believe they are a Christian organization. They are not and we only get double speak from them. The Bible says Christ is the unblemished God & perfect sinless humanity united in one Person forever (John 1:14, Pillippians 2:7-8, 1 Timothy 3:6). | image tagged in jesus, sin, god, christian, seventh day adventists, bible | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

CAN WE HAVE ETERNAL SECURITY?
One of the most comforting truths in the Bible is to know that God doesn't give His children a part-time or temporary love. Instead, God's love for His own endures forever! Still, some say we can become a child of God but then fall back into a life under Satan. Our study, "Eternal Security," takes a look at the six faulty reasons people think we can lose our salvation. Well-meaning folks can believe so because they forget the Context, Counterfeits, Corruption of Man, Atonement of Christ, Common Sense, or the Clear Passages in Scripture.

That last one involves Bible verses that prove a true Christian cannot lose their salvation. This is why the gospel is called the good news and is a gift. Gifts can't be ungiven.

We are not saved on the basis of our works but instead by the performance of Jesus Christ. Once born-again, we have Eternal Security! | image tagged in christian, salvation, security, eternal, bible, jesus | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
