DO PEOPLE ASK YOU FOR PROOF OF GOD? [1 of 3] Well, here’s some: how about God's track record with His predictions (prophecies)? I will give you a couple examples but just know that, so far, God has fulfilled over 2000 predictions He made, and we can read about of them in the Bible. In fact, God's predictions aren’t vague like those of psychics. Yet, even with very specific prophecies, God has been 100% correct and His remaining 500 predictions are all lining up right now during these last days before Jesus’s return. In Daniel 2, God predicted the rise of nations, telling us about these four future empires that then came to be and also in the Bible’s historical order: Babylon, Medo-Persian,
Greece, and then Rome. God also predicted the fall of nations. In the Bible's book of Nahum, God predicted Nineveh would be permanently destroyed by fire, easily captured, their army officers would desert, and those officers would even be drunk in their final hours. As specific as God was, of course it happened just that way. Archaeologists have not only discovered Nineveh, but also uncovered a layer of ash in its ruins, showing it was destroyed by fire. Also, ancient Babylonian records reveal how Nineveh was easily overtaken and that their officers fled the scene. Another Greek historian records how the king gave much wine to his soldiers that night, causing them to be drunk.
It was exactly as God said it would be and that prediction
was not your average psychic-type generalized con like,
"You're going to meet someone new.” Yeah, ya think? | image tagged in god, bible, prophecy, truth, death, heaven | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

DO PEOPLE ASK YOU FOR PROOF OF GOD? [2 of 3] Here’s another specific prophecy from God that was perfectly fulfilled: The book of Isaiah talks about how Babylon would be overthrown at the hands of Medes, with the gates opened by a guy named Cyrus. And in the end the area would be reduced to swampland. Guess what happened. History shows it was exactly that: the Medes joined up with the Persians to conquer Babylon, despite the incredible defenses, which included Babylon's outer wall being so huge (tall and wide), they would hold chariot races on it. No one should have been able to get into Babylon. Still, God being the ONLY one who knows the future ends from the beginning, history today shows that a guy named Cyrus diverted the flow of the Euphrates River, which had run under the walls of Babylon, marched into the city along the river bed, and archaeological excavations reveal that part of Babylon today cannot be
dug up because it is under water, making it swamp-like. | image tagged in god, bible, prophecy, evidence, truth, eternity | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

SHOULD THE BIBLE BE OUR ONE SOURCE OF
AUTHORITY ON THIS PLANET? YES! And we Christians need to keep that truth! Don't just give the idea lip service, have it on your website, or only make it one more doctrinal statement. Praise God that we can stick to that truth and never be steered wrong. Take it, cherish it, and hold tight to it! Instead of an empty statement, this truth has to drive our behavior. Many people, including professing Christians, do not follow the dictates of the Bible for what they believe and how they behave. Instead, they more value their own personal opinions, as well as those from secular society, the educational system, the media, and their friends. In practice, those are what people really believe in. But all that is just a hodgepodge of everything from a fallen society, rather than taking direction from God's
Word in the Bible. Just keep your path clean and pure with God because
He never gets it wrong. Stick to the Bible as your only source of authority. The sixty-six books of the Bible constitute God's ONLY written revelation to mankind—and if it were possible, we should be emphasizing the importance of that word, ONLY, with exploding fireworks all around it, and huge dragon heads shooting fire at it, just to emphasis the word more. When Joseph Smith, other Mormons, New Agers, Hindus, or anyone, including professing Christians, try to tell you they have a “new revelation,” or new “Word from God” for you, what should be your response? You should firmly respond with something like, No, you do not! The Bible is sufficient for me. "The Bible...is the inspired, verbal [the very words,] plenary [all of the words,] infallible [trustworthy because it is without error in the original manuscripts,] Word of God. The Bible is the sole authority for faith and practice (Matthew 5:18; 22:31-32; Galatians 3:16; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; Hebrews 4:12; 2 Peter 1:20-21)." Unfortunately, that is not the practice for many professing Christians.
Besides the Bible, there has been no other written revelation given by God. Again,
there IS NO other written revelation from God besides the Bible—period! | image tagged in bible, god, jesus, truth, eternity, death | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

WHAT DOES TEXAS HAVE TO DO WITH BIBLE PROPHECY? Over and over again, God prophesied the rise and fall of nations. Many of His 2500 predictions were very specific and 2000 have already come true. Jesus alone fulfilled over 300, including being born of a virgin and through the seed of Abraham, as well as Jesus having his hands pierced, something God of the Bible predicted even before the Romans had invented crucifixion. The odds of only 8 specifically-predicted events coming true—let alone 300–is exactly the same as this analogy: Let’s say we cover all of Texas 3-feet deep in silver dollars, mark 1 with a red X, and randomly mix it in somewhere across the state. Next, we blindfold a guy, have him choose a place to start, and make him wade through coins, having only 1 blind pick to choose
the right coin with the X. What would you say his chances are? Mathematically, those are the exact odds of only 8 prophecies coming true. Again, He actually fulfilled 300 that God gave us in advance. With that in mind, can you see the tragedy of keeping this information from people, including Christians? Because society does not know, learn, or teach Bible prophecy, is it any wonder people these days are skeptical about the veracity of the Bible? Praise God for Bible prophecy, which drills into our heads the fact that Jesus is coming back and no one has a brighter future than Christians. By God’s Bible prophecy, we can be encouraged with each of the 2500 times God gives predictions to prove the Bible came from Him. Already 2000 have come true and the other 500 are lining up right now.
Do you see what all people, including most Christians, are missing
because they are not taught basic Bible prophecy? I mean, give me
a break! How much more proof do we need?! | image tagged in texas, bible, prophecy, god, future, truth | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

IS THE BIBLE A HISTORICALLY-RELIABLE DOCUMENT? [2 of 2] The second test is the “Internal (Eyewitness) Test," which considers the credibility of the authors and the truthfulness of what was written. Those collaborators for the Bible did not compile it willy nilly. Instead, they asked logical qualifying questions like whether the author of a potential book to be included was an apostle of Christ (spent a lot of time with Jesus), whether a book agreed with the rest of Scripture (God does not lie or contradict Himself), had the book been accepted
by the early Church (they were there at the beginning),
and had it been quoted by the early Church (to have used it,
they must have believed the quote was from God). ; Sir David Dalrymple gathered together the early Church fathers' letters, from which he said he was able to reconstruct the entire New Testament using just quotations (except for only seven verses). An added qualifier they used was whether a book came with the power of God. There is something about reading the one-and-only Bible that just comes up and hits you in the eyes with the power of God. You can't get that from something whipped up by man. So, those are some very effective filters used to give us the Bible through a process that was the opposite of careless, casual, or haphazard. The third test is the “External Test,” which includes historical events, geography, archaeology, and cultural
consistencies; all of which have verified the Bible’s veracity. | image tagged in god, bible, jesus, truth, life, christian | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
