Other practices rooted in Taoism (or, Daoism) are martial arts like “tai chi,” where “chi” is basically “the force” talked about in Star Wars. It is a belief in the Taoist “yin and yang,” which claims our universe is balanced between good and evil. The yin-and-yang symbol is a circle with a line inside that curves like the stitching on a baseball. The two areas are colored light and dark, and the entire symbol is a Taoist philosophical representation of the universe’s supposed opposing forces. Taking this Taoist idea back to the mindset presented in the Star Wars films, the movies portray what seems to be opposing dark and light sides of the “Force,” but Taoism and the Star Wars films really teach that the opposite
forces are interconnected and interdependent on each other, actually combining to keep the universe in balance by canceling each other out. That is the false Taoist message that has its followers believe the black (dark, or evil) side of the yin-and-yang symbol can’t exist without white (light, or good), like cold not being able to exist without heat. Chinese culture has taken this belief so far that this yin-and-yang concept is foundational to many branches of classical Chinese science and medicine. And again, many forms Chinese exercises (like tai-chi martial arts) present this idea of needing to equalize the flow of the universe. But the yin-and-yang principle of Taoism is directly contradictory to biblical Christianity,
where God is good and has existed without evil—good can
exist without evil—while evil must have a comparison to good
so that there is a way to demonstrate that it is evil. | image tagged in taoism, daoism, buddhism, god, evil, star wars | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

WHAT IS THE TAOIST (OR, DAOIST) BRANCH OF BUDDHISM ALL ABOUT? [3 of 6] Followers of Taoism vary in beliefs and practices, but among those are biblically abominable necromancy (contacting the dead) and Roman or Egyptian-type polytheism (worshiping many gods—Scripture also calls them idols). Taoists tend to worship mostly on their calendar’s religious holidays, setting food out as a sacrifice to the gods or the spirits of their departed ancestors. The Bible’s Deuteronomy shows us that God has some harsh condemnation for these Taoist practices: "When you enter the land that the Lord, your God has given you, do not learn to imitate the detestable ways of the nations there. Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter into the fire, who practices
divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft or
casts spells, who is a medium or spiritist, or who consults with the
dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord. And because these are detestable practices, the Lord, your God will drive out those nations before you. You, though, must be blameless before the Lord, your God.” Obviously, God detests the practices of those who communicate with dead people. Why is that? Well, once dead, if we were Christians, we instantly go to heaven to be with God. But non-Christians suddenly find themselves in hell. From that point, we remain in either place. Thank God we do not get kicked out of heaven, but hell is also permanent. Either way, we don’t travel back to have a chat with living friends or relatives on earth. There is no second chance and we can’t communicate with the living. That said, I believe people who say some spirit entity showed up and communicated with them, but the Bible is clear about what that is: it is not your loved one, no matter what kind of familiar, luminescent, friendly, or helpful demeanor the deceiving entity portrays.
Scripture warns that those are “familiar” spirits, just the same old demons that
have been duping people for thousands of years. Yet, the religion of Taoism
promotes these extremely dangerous encounters. | image tagged in taoism, daoism, buddhism, god, bible, hindu | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

WHAT IS THE HARE KRISHNA BRANCH OF BUDDHISM ALL ABOUT? [3 of 4] Becoming a member of Buddhism’s Hare Krishna movement involves choosing a guru (teacher) and becoming his disciple. In fact, they believe that is mandatory, because not having a proper Hare Krishna guru supposedly makes it impossible to cultivate “Krishna consciousness.” Contrary to that practice, the Bible does not have us Christians
go through a teacher, pastor, priest, or guru to access God. Those attending Sunrise Bible Church here in Las Vegas do not have to go through to me, the pastor, to get to God. Because of what Jesus did for us, we can approach God directly on His throne, whether we are the greatest of Bible scholars, or even a new Christian who just heard and accepted the gospel. And the doctrine for Krishna followers gets even worse:
Besides believing that adherents must go through a guru to reach their
millions of gods, they also teach that the guru is a god. | image tagged in krishna, buddhism, god, bible, new age, hindu | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

WHAT IS THE HARE KRISHNA BRANCH OF BUDDHISM ALL ABOUT? [2 of 4] The Krishna movement began as a reactionary response to dispassionate Buddhist Hinduism. Krishna followers participate in lavish public displays of their adoration and worship for Hindu deities. Similarly, the charismatic influence may have sprung up in the Christian Church because so many services have become somewhat boring and lifeless, often from hiring shepherds who don’t even believe what they're teaching. But our salvation through Christ is the most exciting development that has ever happened to mankind. God forgave all of our sins, so we are no longer headed for hell; instead, we get to spend eternity with God in heaven, ruling and reigning with Jesus, exploring the universe,
and forever learning more and more about the mind of God. I'm all for that! But there is so much deadness in a huge number of Christian Churches today because we’re not spending daily time in the Bible, which is how Christians become passionate for God's truth. This has caused people to get sucked into hyper-charismatic churches, where they are often led to connect with spirits that are not from God. While I agree that many Christian Churches today are fairly lifeless, those are not accurate representations of true biblical Christianity—they’re normally not very biblical. Either way though, two wrongs don't make a right, so jumping into
other harmful, unbiblical practices is not the answer. | image tagged in krishna, buddhism, hindu, god, bible, charismatic | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
