Fun Facts with Luigi | The 1990 novel, Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton, is darker than the 1993 film by Steven Spielberg, and how is the novel darker than the film. Dr. Wu dies to raptors, Hammond is one of the villains (excluding Dodgson who's the main villain) and dies to Compys at the end of the book, the T. Rex literally picks up and throws the tour vehicle with Tim Murphy (John Hammond's grandson) still inside, and at the start of the novel, a newborn baby is killed and eaten by Compys. One other reason is Dennis Nedry's death. Nedry is killed by a Dilophosaurus, which is at the accurate height of 10'0 but still has the same spitting blinding venom. Nedry is then disemboweled by the dinosaur, but remains conscious long enough to feel his head between the dinosaur's jaws.
