First part is real, the part where I realise she was into me isn't. I was very confident she liked me from the start, but I didn't feel the same way.

This really is familiar to me. I told her that if it doesn't work out, I hope she finds someone she's really happy with and who loves her with his life.

The thing is that women are horrible at communicating, and men don't over-think things, apart from "She's just being friendly, don't wanna risk asking her out."
