I have notice this as well! All of my comments mysteriously reappeared after I messaged the admins about having a troll. I think they should ban the member who caused all the trouble. So aggravating this is all for fun why be a downer on the site?

comments arestored in a cloud,... but still,.. if one or 2 users ( maybe an alt or 2) is flagging the comments,.. seems the mods would catch that? Did you ID the cretin to mods?

I just realized our pal tried to buddy up to me after I told him we weren't buying his friendly routine on raydogs meme...when I commented with the jedi jesus meme to that other potential troll, ( which is probably him lol) he replied awesome pic and asked if I made it lol. No clearly I didn't make it's all over google images lol

A mod commented below.. as did he. I replied. Pending on mod reply.. i may delete this thread and move on. After a year.. that is only user ever had issue with. No users have ever accused me of any misconduct.. I'm here like most.. to have fun. =)

I saw a comment by the mod Acuity12 (on one of Raydog's memes, I think), to the effect that someone had been "gaming the system," but that they've resolved it now and restored the comments.

That user has not memed or commented since... I had a bad feeling about that user,.. and gut instincts are usually right. He is a snake in the grass. I do hope his IP is gives him away. The more threads I read,.. from other users,.. when all comments were deleted,.. his comments and comment memes remained, to get the points. It didn't work out for him like he thought. We have a good community here!

A single user was identified who exploited part of the comment flagging system (which we then fixed), and their account was deleted, per our terms of service. No need to place accusations on any other existing accounts.

Thanks.. there was an acct that trolled me and others. Same user also trolled memes I made months ago so other users could not see him. After reading threads ... other good users had problems with that same user. If you would like me to delete this thread I will. I always trust the mods and cts. Thank you.. very appreciated.

He also seems not happy with mods for not flagging the memes themselves,... like's he's a vigilante that has to clean this site up. NO NEW USER comments like that. He is too experiuenced,... came from another site or was on this one before and has an axe to grind. I do not advocate flame wars,... nor particpate,... but sometimes this imgflip family needs to pull together and take care of each other,... and be a little agressive on these clowns. . calling them out at minimum.

I do notice that I have to keep re-liking stuff over and over because the next time I go back to a thread it isn't marked. I think that is unrelated to the comments getting taken down though.

If you look at his profile and check out those memes they did not generate any points worth getting on the leaderboard. Usually on the leaderboard you have at least 1 + 2 page memes. Something sneaky still going on, he is not in inexperienced or brand new user.

Nope not at all! He may be an old user coming back with another name. When all of our meme comments were deleted all of his got all the traffic and upvotes he racked up the points that way since his memes were not doing well.

Same here, if it sits on submitted I usually delete it. If some of the mods really are that liberal I'm surprised I can still meme comment with all the Bill the butcher memes I've been throwing around that they hate so much. The motto at the bottom says " empowering creativity on teh interwebz"... Someone's forgetting the site's own motto lol. If it's not explicit or inappropriate, then why can't they feature it even if they disagree with the message, they're not even featuring it under nsfw.

He did not deny it,.... did he?!!! Mods said it was "a user".... not a word from him. Several memes about it though,... you started it,.. mine,.. raydogs... and no comments on any of them. He is in a time zone (the UK allegedly),... 5 hrs ahead of east coast time.... 8 hrs west coast time. So while the average US user is sleeping,... he was up doing his thing so we woke to surprises. He is being monitored now,... he'll use an alt.

Yeah I don't think he ever denied it. They should be able to get his IP if he uses an alt still. He's pretty squirrely, but I'm sure they're on to him
