i'm kinda surprised an action figure of this hasn't been made in the US. ;)

Oba-Jesus. I don't hate the guy. I believe he tried. He inherited a clusterf'd nightmare of a mess. And America's horrifyingly corrupt, so I think he got forced into doing s**t we hated. Was he great? NO. But the alternatives would have been worse.

Much, much worse.

well, he's a person, right? just like you, me, and everyone else. :) i don't hate 'em either, but i do kinda hate how everyone expected him to be this "savior" of sorts. gave those who adore him, and excuse deify him, and to do nothing, and those who opposed him deny the deification and do nothing.

as you stated, people in that position have enough to deal with, without having the burden of being a "savior" thrown on their shoulders, too. politically, i would say i subscribe to "anarchism" so, to me all government, except self-government, is suspect. ;)

i feel bad for flipping the tone of this post, which was not my intention, so, to make it more light-hearted ... check out this t-shirt from japan ... they seem to really like certain english words ... "f*ck" for instance ... totally out of context. google search "engrish" for all kinds of good stuff.

ha! christianity is perty big in korea. it might be a political statement. ;) personally, i find the indigenous religious practices, older than both christianity and buddhism more fascinating. you know ... i don't think i've seen a pic of the korean buddha so, i looked one up. he's a might skinnier than i was imaginin'.
