The jury is still out on the asshole part, but I do have a clean record.

I'm sure you read the papers and there's always some guy in court for whatever and he always say he was beaten by his alcoholic father or whatever and that's why he broke into a house and stole from people. As if it's a green light to commit crimes. You can't help your past but you can choose whether you want to be an asshole because of it.

I understand and agree. The way it was phrased, however, is a double entendre. :)
