You mean like it used to be? Before regulations and the unions chased the steel industry out of the country? Before shit trade agreements dismantled American car manufacturing, like back when the Chrysler building stood as a monument to American exceptionalism instead of a tombstone marking a dead town.

It's the same thing every four years. Politicians promising Utopia. I also was bought into the crap that Obama was shoveling. But nothing changed, and some things got worse. As the saying goes, "Meet the new boss, same as the old boss."
I didn't buy his garbage, but did at least remain hopeful which lasted right up to the time he told the Republican congressional leader "elections have consequences." From that time on I knew we were screwed.
