Women's Inferior Status

Okay, but that's the thing - women are not inferior human beings, nor does the Bible depict them as such. Someone choosing to obey a Biblical command to adopt a subservient role in a specific context does not mean they're inferior as a person, and someone choosing to obey a command to have higher authority in a specific context doesn't mean they're superior as a person.

For example, in government - not everyone is the President. The President has higher authority than his Cabinet - this is for the smooth running of government. That doesn't mean that he should ever consider people in his cabinet to be inferior human beings. It's just a role for a specific context. Do you see how someone's role and authority and someone's value as a person are different things?

Women can notice stuff men can't. If they all tell the pastor about something, it'll probably overwhelm him. If they tell their husbands about it, and their husbands can explain it, that'll make it easier on the pastor. I'd say this rule has a very practical use.
BTW, men are better at condensing ideas, and thus, a man could more easily present an idea to the pastor than a woman could.

However, I would like to invite a political party to release a statement saying that women are not allowed in office and that they should be silent. They could also go on to justify this by saying that women cannot articulate themselves as well as men and therefore should not be allowed in leadership positions or have their own opinions.
I doubt that this would sit well with any women's rights groups... In my opinion this just sounds like the same sexism put forward by most if not all religions.

Furthermore you are absolutely right; some people are not fit for certain positions, but I would imagine that this is a matter of skill not gender. There are many Christian churches that have Female leaders, should they then step down because a man would be more intellectually qualified for the Job? I fail to see the practical upside of denying a perfectly capable human being important opportunities such as learning and freedom of speech just because they have lower testosterone levels.

I think you missed my point. I was trying to show a possible non-spiritual explanation, though I guess that didn't work.
God set up His "religion", as you'd call it, with men as spiritual leaders. I believe he did so not because women are inferior, but because he made men leaders of homes. I think women should be allowed to do just about everything men do. (Being pastor, deacon, and being in combat are exceptions, though.)
