Or from being a total sociopath.

How is that? I will entertain any substantive explanation of what you mean, my good sir.

"There is no place for gays or atheists in MY America. None. Our Constitution makes that clear." He is effectively stating that he wants to disenfranchise TWO groups of people should he be elected president. I would almost rather have Trump. MY GOOD SIR.

That's been proven a fake quote, broceratops. Did you google 'Ted Cruz bad quote'? hahajk Also, he supported the states' rights to vote for gay marriage - check his interview on the Late Show with Colbert. If you have anything related to POLICY or other misc. things of substance, I'm all ears =] Otherwise, thanks for stopping by!

And I apologize if I was a little extreme. I will be eligible to vote in my states primary and the national election soon, so I am an impressionable young person with only a small semblance of a brain.

Aw man don't say that. At least you've thought about it. But I'd be careful about what you let into your (I'm sure perfectly fine) brain. ALSO, in response to your other reply, I agree with you that his views on the constitution are on point...so check out the very first part of the very first amendment...I'm pretty darn sure that a constitutional scholar will never let religious affiliation sway the legal treatment of anyone on that basis. And on P.P., he's recommending an investigation on the alleged wrongdoing, and stopping government funding - as many don't agree with it, yet they are being taxed for it. Would you like being taxed for upkeep on evangelical churches? I know I wouldn't - and I'm an evangelical.

At least you admit it.

Well played UCS!

Yes. His view of Constitutional rights is on the mark, brotein shake. I PERSONALLY don't like him because of his views. He is an anti gay marriage, anti planned parenthood guy who doesn't believe in much science. Granted sociopath was a misused word, but in my opinion, he is less qualified to be president then an atheist.

Yet he is fighting AGAINST our constitution at the same time, you can only run for president of the United states of America IF you were BORN THE USA. He was born in Canada, with only 1 us citizen parent(It doesn't matter if your parents were US citizens by the way).

Well if you'll take a look at the naturalization act of 1790 and the McCarran-Walter act, you'll find that location and number of parent citizens is irrelevant, as his mom was a resident of the US soil for more than 10 years. And isn't Canada just another US state anyway? Hahahajk XD

Good joke, but none of those points change the fact that the constitution states "No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident ..." .

Nat. Act of 1790: "And the children of citizens of the United States that may be born beyond Sea, or out of the limits of the United States, shall be considered as natural born Citizens" - If that argument was valid, then any US servicewoman or missionary that gives birth oversees (even if the father wasn't a resident or citizen) would have to leave her baby at the airport when she flew home due to lack of citizenship for said baby.

Great rebuttal, but while your argument is sound and he is technically considered a "natural born Citizen" the supreme court still has the final say in the matter.

We'll have to resume the argument when (and if) they decide to touch the subject. I did some reading this afternoon and it looks like they have declined to rule on it a number of times.
