Yeah, he went to high school in my home town and they treat him like a god here. Manziel, that is. Got caught stealing from wal Mart and the employees were told to keep quiet and don't say anything or they would lose their jobs. After he won the Heizman trophy my hometown threw his a "let's praise Manziel" parade. It was sickening.

They did similar for Alan Iverson in Virginia.

Okay, very little morals. Or a set of morals that are skewed.
reply

Again, the set of morals in our society may not be perfect, but it could be a lot worse. As long as child predators, drug traffickers and wife beaters are arrested and locked up, no one can convince me that we have "no morals" (or even "very little morals")

Their own actions and bad choices sent them there.
reply
4 ups, 1 reply
Right. What I meant was that because their behavior and actions hurt other people, society as a whole said "we don't want you around us, we're going to lock you up so you can't hurt people anymore." When I said that society sent them to prison, I meant that society locked them up to prevent them from hurting other innocent people, not that society is to blame for their incarceration. They are to blame for their own incarceration. I had a feeling someone would reply and say what you said. Damn English language :p upvote

Tebow was awesome! So, he couldn't throw, but he could win. The Broncos should have kept him as Manning's backup, he'd have learned a ton and come back as the starter better than ever.

Johnny "Football" will not be around long in the NFL!

The Eagles should've kept him. I bet he'd do better than Sanchez...

I'm a Dallas fan; have been since the early 90's. I keep getting a sickening feeling Jerry Jones will snatch up Manziel. If that happens I will no longer be a Dallas fan.

I'll age myself here, but I've been a Cowboys fan since the '70s, back when they stood for something on and off of the field.

Jerry Jones is a clown and needs to sell the team!

So I'm guessing you're in your 50's. Lol! That's not too bad. I'm in my 30's so I'm almost middle aged.

I've never liked Jerry Jones ever since he fired Jimmy Johnson. Yes been a clown in my eyes ever since.

Have fun guessing my age:
I have a 3-year old brother and a great aunt who died at age 108 just two or three years ago.

That would put you at about... 35-40.

I can but laugh at that guess. I will give no more hints.

As another 52 year old, I feel you bro (as the kids say nowadays). Tom Landry made everyone around him classy. Jerry Jones is a win at all costs, and screw the character type of guy. You either love him or hate him.

I read your reply after posting mine, Landry was all about class, if one of his players had acted like Newton did yesterday, he would have expected a lot of bench time. Its so much about style over substance in sports now.
reply
4 ups, 2 replies
Yeah, Newton acted like a whiny baby toward the end of the game. I've always said it, but no one believed me, Cam Newton is a one-trick phoney. He goes up against a real defense and he chokes. He's all show boat and not much else.
reply

He looked awfully good against My Cardinals defense who I thought was a great defense until yesterday, the Broncos D is a freight train.

There were a lot of great Cowboys in that era, and Landry taught them about class by example.

ok. u and spursfan. dont EVEN get me started on the cowdumbells. Jerry jones is a rich spoiled ass turning the team to crap. romo is an ass. Can you even name somebody part of that team who actually uses their f**kin heart and brain???? F**K the cowboys AND F**K THE NFL! I LIVE in the same county as att stadium. Cowboy fans are SHITHEADS alot of the time. Billions of dollars and loss of many homes for a stadium to host a team that SUCKS both at their sport and moral while convincing the fans that the team is up there with the false idol they call jesus!! NFL fans are usually rude and are so into sports that they need to shove a f**kin cactus up their ass and get a LIFE! Now, its not ALL of them. But its a majority. Now, id say something about this fiasco about the NFL and fans and sports in general thats pretty sac religious, but i dont want to offend. My conclusion, cowboys may have been ok back then, but they and the nfl suck ass now. MORALS still exist. MORALS are still f**king important. B**ch slap the cowboys and the rest of the shitty sports f**kers of the world, tear open their muscle big ass head, and shove it down their head, into their satan dam throats and CHOKE the motherf**kers till they understand. Their ignorance and arrogance and belief in non existant icons makes the world lose all moral. Anybody get my anger???

It's tough to play a position that you aren't a custom to playing. However, who's to say that of he took the positionhe wouldn't just be cut without even playing. He gets done dirty all the time.

HA! is that an Texas A&M that shithead is wearing? idk who either of them are, but thats sad. Then again, I'd expect it from A&M. That university was founded by confederates who didn't want their children to go to school with non whites. something dumb like that. And yah its changed now, but theres still plenty people there who think of themselves as better than others. I had an awsome professor who went to A&M and she encountered a teacher, (typical old white guy) who acted like a complete snob when she said she wanted to be an english teacher and assumed she was Jewish based on her looks. I know this stupidity happens everywhere, but leave it to A&M or f**kin texas in general to show the example. I respect texas in some ways, yet, i kinda wanna move.
