I was kind of playing off of Norm was inarguably the best beer drinker, and Cliff may be the exception to the rule, but I can see where the confusion could happen.

I lean to fiscal conservatism, but I do believe in some social programs, as long as they are properly administered. I go more libertarian when it comes to government control but legalizing drugs brings me back full circle. Clear as mud right? Good to see you back in a comment stream, I've missed our pun wars.

I'm pretty similar. I identify as libertarian or minarchist, which are fiscal conservatives and social liberals. That's hard for a lot of people to understand, ("How can you be different than Republicans and Democrats.") but it's the only thing that makes sense to me.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not really a social liberal, I'm just a realist. Some degree of social programs are needed, but if government hadn't tried to be the one source social safety net it would not be the calamity it has turned into. I believe the current healthcare system is a great example of the govt picking winners and losers. For everyone that got added to the roles someone like myself got pushed out of having good healthcare. Which is why I have a fair amount of libertarian leanings in keeping government out of things that aren't government.

Even though they're called social programs, it's still on the fiscal side. Any kind of money distribution is "fiscal", and laws regarding behavior are "social". I agree with conservatives that there shouldn't be much money distribution, and I agree with liberals that there shouldn't be many laws.

But in general, I don't like either party

Yes, neither are fiscally responsible, there are too many votes on the line to be that. We needed a line item veto 100 years ago.

True, they usually aren't. Most Republicans aren't actually fiscally conservative either, but in that's what their platforms are. I guess that's not really a worthwhile comparison to make.

I can't tell you how many times I have tossed together a 3rd submission just to have one and it made page one or two. There really is no gauging it.

It's unpredictable! I've been fooled many times. Like my brian car one, I thought oh yeah, and I threw a 10 guy in for fun and it's on page 1 and brian sits "idol" had to car pun that lol
