Over the last 20 years, as a nation, we have taken hundreds of thousands of refugees from Iraq, Myanmar, Vietnam and the former Yugoslavia.

So because of that we are all stocked up on refugees? If so, I suggest we return that little present we got from France. We don't want to send the rest of the world mixed messages.

Yes. I myself have been homeless. Before I had children I would live in a tent all summer and work 2 jobs while my wife went to school. It was the only way to save enough cash for the long cold winters.

It is a shame stuff like that gets buried

Just think if Steve Jobs wasn't allowed to enter America because of who his father was. We have no idea what the children of these refugees will grow up to be. Given the right environment they might grow up with some appreciation for the opportunity they were given (unlike so many of our own youth) and change the world for the better.
